This artwork, (one of 100) printed on German Hahnemuhle Etching paper (310gsm) features photographs of 20 vintage Australian football jumpers painstakingly collected from far and wide. In the '70's & '80's the uniformity of footy jumpers was a defining feature of the game. Back then the jumper that was a proud symbol of your club was identical to a club just down the road in another league.
Jumpers were either hooped, yoked, striped or sashed mainly. Those clubs with a bespoke monogrammed jumper stood metaphorically slightly above the rest. The jumpers featured here from left to right are: Ocean Grove, Greensborough, Wynyard, Ovens and Murray FL Rep, Darley, Murray FL rep, North West FL rep, Wimmera FL rep, Hampden FL rep, Peninsula FL rep, North West Tasmania FA rep, Irymple, Boort, Goulburn Valley FL rep, Golden Rivers FL rep, Culcairn, Sandhurst, Navarre, Donald, Katandra.
The paper guarantees archival standards & features a textured surface which has the special touch & feel of genuine art paper. The artwork is housed in a clear plastic sleeve.
